Sometimes, all a young person needs is someone to believe in their potential and give them a chance.
For Itunu, the second of five children, that opportunity came when a thoughtful neighbour nominated her for the Racheal and Teens Foundation Youth Empowerment Programme.
When we first sat down with Itunu, she shared a clear dream: she wanted to learn professional hairstyling. We listened, and then we took action.
We enrolled Itunu in a reputable professional salon, with her training fully funded by Racheal and Teens Foundation. Over the past few months, she has shown incredible dedication—rapidly developing her skills, mastering her craft and growing in confidence every day.
To mark her progress and encourage her continued growth, we recently presented her with an official certificate of achievement.
